on october 18, the completion ceremony for the ulan bator-mandalgovi 330kv power transmission and distribution project undertaken by tbea was held at mandalgovi, capital of mongolia's dundgov province, indicating that the mongolia's highest voltage level power transmission and distribution project was successfully put into operation with load. the project has effectively solved the problem of short power supply in eastern mongolia, so that more than 1.5 million people in mongolia's capital ulan bator and along the line of the project have access to reliable power supply.
the ulan bator-mandalgovi 330kv power transmission and distribution project carries the ardent expectations of the top leaders of mongolia and china and is the first project built under the preferential buyers' credit between the governments of china and mongolia. the project was undertaken by tbea shenyang transformer group co., ltd., and was officially launched on june 21, 2017.. after more than two years of intensive construction, the mandalgovi transformer substation was successfully put into operation with load on october 7, 2019. this project will boost the development of resources and the construction of industrial system in southern mongolia by enhancing the reliability of the local power grid, improving its operation safety, reducing power cost and improving local infrastructures.
