on april 13th,2016, 4 sets of turbine generator of ecuador’s largest hydropower station-ccs hydropower station project was officially put into operation. the 500kv main transformer produced by tbea for that project successfully passed full voltage impulse test and was put into use with sound operation conditions.
undertaken by sinohydro corporation group, the ecuador ccs hydropower station project, with an installed gross capacity of 1500mw ,has became the largest hydropower station project in that area. after completion, it will satisfy 1/3 of the power demands of ecuador, effectively improve the status of energy shortage which relying on power purchase from other countries, and export redundant power to neighbor countries.
in 2012, tbea successfully won the bidding of all 25 sets of 69mva,500kv single phase oil forced water cooling main transformers of the hydropower project. during the process of participating the project, tbea strictly implemented the quality management principle of “more rigorous, more detailed, more careful, and more refined” and carried out whole-process quality control to ensure that each stage of the research and development was controllable and under-control, and finally accomplished the research and development of products at one stroke.
relaying on reliable product quality and superior services, tbea received consistent high praise from project proprietors, consultants and general contractors, and was elected as “quality supplier of sinohydro corporation group”.
when attending the ceremony of electricity generation, jorge glas, vice president of ecuador, spoke highly of the project and expressed that ccs project helps ecuador be able to support itself with power and provides sufficient energy which will speed up its industrialization. ecuador was grateful for the support provided by china in aspects of financing and technology, and considered that the project sets a pattern to fulfill social responsibility, protect environment, and promote cultural integration and so on.
local staff representatives showed their thanks to ccs project for it drives employment, helps hundreds of families of the nearby community get rid of poverty because workers can learn technology through the project, which also improves labor quality.
